Jeff Blemaster is suggesting to everyone to get a second medical opinion always

My father had brain surgery for Melanoma Skin Cancer. The doctors recommended full brain radiation even though the Cancer was removed with surgery. They wanted to do a follow up after treatment plan to kill any possible remnants or traces of Cancer. It didn't seem right to blast the whole brain with radiation when there was no visible Cancer. I researched the subject and searched for a second opinion. Jeff Blemaster finally found one for him at the Mayo Clinic which is the finest institution I have ever been to. The Doctor there suggested a drug called Temodar which is a form of Chemotherapy that is taken orally. There are minimal side effects. Radiation does not work on Melanoma Cancer. Most Cancer melts when blasted with radiation. Melanoma does not have the same effect. It is a different beast and does not melt, in fact it does not do anything. The second medical opinion definitely helped preserve the healthy tissue on my Dad's brain. The radiation would have been completely unnecessary. Always get a second medical opinion. That's the opinion of Jeff Blemaster.
